La Bodeguita is Paulo Azevedo's vision: a break from the traditional seafood and meat restaurants of Leça da Palmeira. After more than a decade in the Spanish restaurant scene, Paulo brought the tapas logic of our Spanish neighbours to R. Hintze Ribeiro, fusing it with Portuguese small plates and the soul of Cuba.
Tucked into the arcades of a building, with a terrace facing the garden, the concept is simple: dishes made for sharing, Portuguese wines and one of our mainstays, the one we couldn't do without — the Cuban mojito. It's a fusion bar, no labels, where the balance between a passion for the island and European experience creates the ideal setting for a drink and an unhurried meal.
